Travel Requirements
Applicants must have a passport that is valid for at least six months past the closing date of the VASI program. We urge applicants to secure a new or up-to-date passport, if necessary, as early as possible.
Applicants selected for VASI will be expected to apply for their own visa from the Vietnamese embassy in Washington, D.C. or the Vietnamese consulate in San Francisco prior to their departure. The visa process for Vietnam can take up to six weeks and participants must plan accordingly in order to arrive in time in Hanoi for the start of the program.
