Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Word

Word is a word processor application.  Added features include a spelling and grammar checker as well as a wide variety of pre-installed document templates for everything from memos to faxes.

Microsoft Excel

A comprehensive spreadsheet application that lets you manage, format, chart, and analyze data.  You will use this application to do financial records or to keep comprehensive lists of data.  Excel will also analyze your data for you using user defined rules.

Due to the extensive scope of these applications, we have yet to find a concise and compact introductory help for either application.  Largely because there is a built in help function with Windows applications, we have decided that if you would like to find out more information about either of these applications, you should visit the CALPACT web site which contains detailed information on how to use Word and Excel.

In addition, CALPACT provides Adobe Acrobat tutorials on several applications, including Word and Excel.
