IAS Domain

International and Area Studies has its own internal network supported by the microsoft network operating system. Each user is given a unique user name and password on the internal IAS network. Your user name and password give you access to network services provided by IAS, such as:

• The ability to log on from any IAS machine on the domain(your permissions travel with you).
• File sharing with other IAS computers.
• Printer sharing with other IAS computers.
• Ability to access shared space on IAS servers.

For more information:

• IASSERVER. Provides file sharing services. Access to this server gives you a "P:" drive for sharing data with your unit and for personal data storage, all backed up nightly.

• IASWEB. Provides World Wide Web services for units within IAS to store their web pages.
