Description

This page summarizes procedures and details of maintaining a Web Site on the IAS Web Server. For comparison of available Web services see:

Directory Structure

Each Unit having their Web Site on the IAS Web Server will have two directories for their files. One will be the publicly accessible Web Site. The second can be used for development work, drafts and testing. The following structure will be used for these directories:

Using this file structure allows the two directories to be mirror images of each other. Files within each directory can be linked in exactly the same way. So links will work in both the development site and the production site. Once a file with its links is working correctly in the development site it can be copied to the production site without any further adjustments to the links.
