International Education Week Reception and Networking Event
for the international education community in the Bay Area

BARNIE invites you
to celebrate IEW with us.
Come meet your Bay Area colleagues in international education,
find out about different programs, and share information about your own resources.

Thursday, November 17
6:00-8:00PM
at the Cafe Royale
800 Post St. @ Leavenworth
San Francisco

Why network?
The San Francisco Bay Area is rich in diverse resources and activities for internationalizing education, but the region would greatly benefit from a coordinated network of organizations to respond to classroom needs and connect educators to available resources.

How can we combine our institutional strengths to promote international education in the Bay Area and provide the strongest possible programs?

How can international education organizations collaborate to:

    • Reach out to the secondary and college education community?
    • Support foreign language teaching?
    • Encourage study abroad?
This event is sponsored by
Bay Area Global Education Program;
Institute of East Asian Studies and Office of Resources for International and Area Studies (ORIAS) at U. C. Berkeley;
Institute of International Education;
International Student Services at the University of San Francisco;
Office of International Programs at San Francisco State University;
Peace Corps San Francisco Regional Office;
Project Spera;
To Love Children Educational Foundation International;
World Affairs Council School's Program.

Special thanks to our event co-sponsor, the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at U. C. Berkeley.
