is a lawyer and diplomat who participated in negotiations
involving conflict with Eritrea and is interested in designing
a model for early warning systems.
2. Tenzin Bhuchung, tenzin@berkeley.edu,

Tenzin
is Tibetan, grew up in India and received his masters in
human rights from an Australian institution. He will continue
to study human rights.

has a special interest in conflict resolution and education.
She has participated in special programs in Cyprus and South
Africa.

is a judge in Pradesh, with a special interest in serving
the poorest communities and developing democratic youth
leadership.

Sergio
was the first indigenous governor of Easter Island and has
worked with UNESCO and other international groups to preserve
cultural monuments.

Patricia
is an international diplomat who wishes to further her legal
studies, with a particular interest in arms control and
the impact of war on women.

Michel
has a degree in communications and has been working in electronic
communications and with non-profits to promote development
in Bolivia.

Nani
is a lecturer in political science at the Gauhati University.
He has done peace research in Assam, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh
and Bhutan and with UNICEF.

Simona
has an interest in human rights and a special interest in
refugees. She also worked with the refugees in the Balkans.

Ian,
an Ambassadorial Scholar, has just returned from working
with the International Committee of the Red Cross in the
Democratic Republic of the Congo.
