AAR. The American Academy of Religion (AAR)'s site includes online publications, a section just for students, and a "Syllabus Project"--a very helpful tool when planning a course or looking for research materials. APSA. The American Political Science Association (APSA) has a section on religion and politics that is more scholarly oriented, with postings of paper calls, journals, etc. BeliefNet. BeliefNet is a popular site, less geared towards academic research but nonetheless, a great starting point for basic knowledge. Georgetown Berkley Center. The Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs at Georgetown boasts an amazing selection of databases on different issuse pertaining to religion and politics. Islam, the Modern World and the West. Prof. Godlas of the University of Virginia maintains this excellent site as a resource on contemporary topics related to Islam. PBS. PBS's Religion and Ethics NewsWeekly features an amazing selection of interviews, articles and background pieces on religion and politics. Pew Forum. Well-known site that provides extensive background research and current event coverage on religion and politics, particularly helpful during elections. Princeton Center for the Study of Religion (CSR). CSR is affiliated with a wide variety of Princeton's faculty, and also has a very helpful online resources section as well. Religion Newswriters. Great site that provides background and expert lists for different issues and themes related to religion and politics. Religionwriter. This site is an online micro-publication showcasing the latest ideas in the world of religion The ARDA. The Association of Religious Data Archives (ARDA) is a vast repository of online information, hosted at Penn. St. The Revealer. Run by NYU's Center on Religion and the Press, this site is a daily review of religion in the news; be sure to check out their "St. Blog's Parish" page. Virtual Religious Index. This site analyzes and highlights important content of religion-related websites to speed research.
