Information for accommodation for conference
participants and attendees
The conference planning committee has reserved a block of rooms in
Durant Hotel, which is located in Berkeley, within walking distance
from the campus. This is the most convenient option for those who have
sufficient funding. The cost of a double room is $134; the rooms can be
shared by two people. If you are looking for someone to share a room
with, please email Larisa Kurtovic (

and she will put you in touch with others
looking to split the costs of accommodation. When making a reservation,
please alert the receptionist that you are with the SOYUZ conference
and want the special rate. If you are planning on coming to the
conference, please make the hotel reservation as soon as possible.

We also have several beds reserved in the Faculty Club here on campus
which are slightly more affordable than the hotel. Priority of
